BDG International, Inc. is a privately held second generation firm in Chicago since 1983. We are a full service freight forwarder and U.S. Customs Broker. In 2013, we are very proud to receive the President's "E" Service Award, which is an award endorsed by the President (since President Kennedy) of the United States through the Department of Commerce. The "E" award is only given to companies that have gone through a strict background check and are considered to be upstanding companies, and to have shown an increase in export service year over year, as well as to have provided community outreach in trade compliance.

Being a second generation company, the knowledge has grown from the last generation to the next. Our staff has long term industry experience and we have low employee turnover. We use the EDI / Enterprise computer system which offers excellent integration for any high volume accounts, web based track and trace, document retrieval, excellent marketing ability and a very detailed profile on our agents, vendors and clients.

We joined WCA to find good partners in order to increase our ability to import and export cargo through the world. In general, 95% of our cargo is controlled by our own sales efforts. It is our goal to expand and have good partners; through proper lane development and selecting key market to jointly develop with agents. We do not want many agents in one place, but are looking for a select few in each location.

We can import / export to and from any point in the USA and globally. For the WCA, we want to offer a very select service. We want to offer our WCA members the best service at the best rates; therfore we will only offer new agents service from the Central USA region, what we like to call (Between the mountains). From (West) Denver, CO to (East) Pittsburgh, PA, (North) Minneapolis, MN to (South) Houston, TX. Our sales efforts are face to face in the Midwest Region and Texas. We go beyond these regions for specific clients.

We are excellent at quoting and moving Project Cargo, Over Size, and Bulk Cargo. We ask that if you have an opportunity for this that you provide FULL details including drawings, shipper name and exact shipment information. We also recommend on project cargo that you do not send it to many agents or you will dilute the possibility on a good rate with the carriers.
