GRI (COST RECOVERY PROGRAM) FOR YEAR 2015: GRI from June 1, 2015 to Dec 31, 2015 can be viewed

thru historical retrieval of this rule. GRI (COST RECOVERY PROGRAM) FOR YEAR 2016:Effective May 15,

2016 all cargo/all container types moving to Israel(via Med Service) from/via USEC ports shall be increased

as follows:

TIME/DEMURRAGE IN KOREA - Effective May 25, 2016

Free Time shall commence at 00:00 AM on the first calendar day following completion of discharge of vessel at a direct port of call and if a port other than a direct port of call Free Time shall commence at 00:00 AM on the first calendar day following arrival of cargo at CY/CFS at such indirect port and will expire at midnight on the day indicated below, including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

 

Demurrage Charge are those costs, excluding Storage Charges or other monitoring charges, incurred when

cargo, whether occupying a Container or devanned from a container, is held at discharge port CY or CFS, or destination point CY or CFS beyond the permitted free time.  Storage Charge or other monitoring charges are assessed per local Terminal Tariff and collected exclusively by Terminal directly against Cargo Interest.

 

Demurrage on cargo not removed from carrier's CY/CFS by the expiration of Free Time will be assessed as

follows, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays included:

 

Terminal storage charges and reefer monitoring charges at port are for the account of the cargo and are to

be charged exclusively by Terminal directly against Cargo Interest.

 

For calculation purposes each day used after free time expiration will be billed based on the scale table noted below according to the total amount of days used including the allowable free days stated in tariff or service contract. For example if 35 days are used and 14 days are free, then 21 days are billable.  Calculation of charges starts from 15th day. Day 15th will be billed at the charge stated in the scale table for day 15th; day 16th will be billed at the charge stated in scale table for day 16th; day 17th will be billed at the charge stated in scale table for day 17th and so forth, up to 21 total of used days.

cargo in storage and/or selling cargo.

 

Carrier also has the option, after 48 hours notice to consignees, of discharging CY cargo to carrier's CFS.

Such discharge and transfer is at the risk and expense of the cargo.  Such cargo shall be subject to

demurrage charges as per Terminal Tariff, without benefit of Free Time as stipulated in this rule.

 

FOR CARGO DESTINED TO JAPAN.

 

a1. When shipper or his agent removes containers from Destination Terminal for unstuffing, the charges set forth in Paragraph a2 of this Rule will be assessed for each 24 hours or fraction thereof beyond the allowed free time.  Free time for each container shall be:

Japan:  5 working Days (See Exceptions)

 

Free time shall commence with the first midnight after removal of the equipment from the Destination

Terminal, except that the hours of Saturdays, Sundays of Legal holidays will not be counted when computing free time, unless indicated.  Container must be returned to the Destination Terminal from which obtained unless otherwise directed by carrier.

 

Exceptions:

1.      Equipment Free Time for containers delivered at Japan Base Ports and transported to Hokkaido by the

consignee shall be fifteen (15) days excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

 

2.      Equipment Free Time for containers delivered to consignees at Japan Base Ports and redelivered to CY

Base Ports after transportation to Hokkaido shall be twenty-one (21) days excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Subject to submission of a copy of a transportation bill.

 

3.      For Shipments of Hay to Japan: Allow 3 additional days of cargo free time.

4.      the period of December 30, 2015 thru January 4, 2016 (inclusive) shall be excluded from calculation of

detention free time.

 

a2. Detention charges for each 24 hours or Fraction thereof (per Calendar Day) after expiration of Free Time for cargo destined to Japan:

TIME/DEMURRAGE IN HONG KONG Effective May 20, 2016

Free Time shall commence at 8:00 AM on the first business day following completion of discharge of vessel

at a direct port of call and if a port other than direct port of call Free Time shall commence at 8:00 AM on the first business day following arrival of cargo at CY/CFS at such indirect port and will expire at midnight on the day indicated below, including Saturdays, Sundays, and *Holiday's.

 

*Holiday Exception - Following dates shall be excluded from calculation of demurrage free time:

Lunar New Year Holiday February 8, 2016 thru February 10, 2016 inclusive.  This free time exception only

means free container usage.  Any on dock storage accruing during the holidays shall be for consignee's

account.

 

Exceptions:

Hazardous Cargo - 72 hours from time of cargo discharge from vessel as per Hong Kong Government

regulations including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

 

IMO Class 1 (explosives) cargo must be picked up by consignee immediately upon discharge from vessel.

 

Demurrage on cargo not removed from carrier's CY by the expiration of Free Time will be assessed as

follows. Demurrage charges include port storage charges.

 

For calculation purposes each day used after free time expiration will be billed based on the scale table noted below according to the total amount of days used including the allowable free days stated in tariff or service contract. For example if 35 days are used and 14 days are free, then 21 days are billable.  Calculation of charges starts from 15th day. Carrier shall not be responsible for delays in delivering cargo or containers when such delays are beyond the control of the carrier.

 

CY Cargo that has remained on demurrage as provided above beyond 30 day's may be warehoused, sold or

held in carrier's containers subject to the carrier's lien for charges including accumulated demurrage

charges.

 

Demurrage charges and those charges incidental to placing cargo in storage and/or selling cargo are to be  

for account of cargo.  Such cargo shall be subject to demurrage charges as per Terminal Tariff, without

benefit of Free Time as stipulated in this rule.

 

At expiration of free time carrier also has the option, after 48 hrs notice to consignees, of discharging CY

cargo to carrier's CFS.  Such cargo shall be subject to demurrage charges as per terminal tariff, without

benefit of free time as stipulated in this rule.

TIME/DETENTION AT HONG KONG, CHINA Effective May 20, 2016

 

A. When shipper or his agent removes containers from Destination Terminal for unstuffing, the charges set

forth in Paragraph B of this Rule will be assessed for each 24 hours or fraction thereof beyond the allowed

free time.  Free time for each container shall be as noted below, including Saturdays, Sundays and *Hong

Kong Holidays, and shall commence with the first midnight after removal of the equipment from the

Destination Terminal.  Container(s) must be returned to the Destination Terminal from which obtained unless otherwise directed by carrier.

 

Note: cargo moving to door service inland points under carrier's haulage will be granted 7 additional

calendar days.  

 

Exceptions - For cargo moving into China only, when the consignee can provide all relevant customs

documentation, equipment free time applicable from the time cargo is released from Hong Kong CY will be as follows: 7 calendar days including Saturdays, Sundays and *Hong Kong Holidays, and shall commence at midnight after removal of the carrier's equipment.

Note:  cargo moving to door service inland points under carrier's haulage will be granted 7 additional

calendar days. 

 

* Holiday Exception - following dates shall be excluded from calculation of detention free time: February 8,

2016 thru February 10, 2016 inclusive.

 

B. Detention charges for each 24 hours or Fraction thereof after expiration of Free Time (per Calendar Day)

as follows in Hong Kong Dollars(HKD):

 

For calculation purposes each day used after free time expiration will be billed based on the scale table noted below according to the total amount of days used including the allowable free days stated in tariff or service contract.
